If you have an nvidia card I think a setting that affects this is in the refresh rate setting. It might be on "adaptive refresh rate" where if you can't get a steady 60fps then it locks it to 30 (I think that's how it works)

I'm curious but did any hardware review sites pick up the issue with the 970?

I have no idea how to help you. I guess you could have them look at destiny. That's somewhat benign compared to military shooters. I think your parents are ridiculous. I played doom when I was 6 or 7 and it wasn't a problem.

Shooters are pretty stale nowadays anyway.

Oh man. FF6 is the pinnacle of jrpgs. I still have the original SNES cartridge. Played it many times over and over, maxing out all espers.

I loved this game. They really nailed deadpool down. Fighting wasn't that bad either.
