I as far as these comparisons are concerned I think it doesn't do anyone justice in trying to depict which graphics are better. But I will point out that early X360 games had that "blur" or what seemed to have a white film over the games and early PS3 didn't. It's kind of funny to see them switch roles. If you look back at other comparisons you will find that what hindered the PS3 in early games is what is being praised on the X360 in this comparison. So in other words, no matter what the PS3 does to improve the presentation of games the X360 is always going to look better on the X360. And this is ONLY according to the comparisons that GS has done in the past and the one we are currently looking at. If you don't believe me, look up the previous comparisons. I'm an X360 guy and I don't own a PS3, so take my observation as you wish....
Yeah, this is a BS article and Gamespot has stooped to a new low. C'mon, these picks don't look like ANY of the screens GS posted when the game was in it's infancy or even like the ones that are posted now. You know, the person who posted this article really didn't do their research on their own employer's pics before they posted this article. Personally, if I were the editor, I would fire both of you who wrote this article for not CYAing. You guys know that's the #1 rule of journalism. And by posting an article as such, you have made Gamespot look very amature.
I can't wait untill I get my pimped out laptop!!!! I love what Microsoft is doing. Soon enough, Xbox and X360 games will be compatible with the Windows platform. Watch, I have an extremely strong feeling that microsoft is heading in that direction.
The 2K brand makes better sports games. Sorry EA, Madden's Next-Gen Graphics, well, they're great but if the players were able to move as fluid as the players in previous gen consoles (like Xbox or PS2) then it would be out of control. Also, the gameplay has suffered. The 2K brand has done a much better job. The graphics are better than Xbox/PS2 but not a generation ahead, It seems like it's just a change of Graphics cards. The gameplay is intact, awesome! The only reason why EA got the rights to the NFL games is cause the 2K brand was better all around. Go 2K sports!
ingy7, I don't think they write about it for "the kids argument." It's getting to the point where consoles are computers (and priced like them as well). The differenc between a console and a PC is the convinience. It's gotten to the point where you have the "supermarket dilema," which is when you get products cheaper at the super market than the quickie shop at the corner. It's the same product, but let's face it, the supermarket has fresher products than the quickie shop. If you could pay for the same game console and game, have better performance, all for cheaper price, would you do buy it?
What about Ghost Recon? NASCAR? I mean, it doesn't get any more American than NASCAR, and Ghost Recon is the American approach to international affairs.
