So I went through that same problem yesterday. Tried everything, online/offline importing rosters etc. When you start a new franchise make sure the latest updated roster is LOADED before. In fact, its a good idea to delete the old default rosters first. Then start the franchise. It won't look like not  much has changed, but when you look at the team ratings I found that the Seahawks went from 75 to 74 with the new rosters. Which means the new rosters are loaded. I think maybe the ratings will look more like the play now ratings after the preseason due to cutting bad players? I ended up downloading a player created roster, which I would really recommend because the EA rosters are terrible, kinda like EA in general. Anyways, hope that helped.

[QUOTE="Shielder7"][QUOTE="SUD123456"]

The price of anything A is not necessarily related to the cost of producing A.

SUD123456

When the cost of producing A is 0 and you already paid 500$ you shouldn't have to pay again.

There is only who pays and how.

Agreed. Not all consumers are equal. You know what they say about a fool and his money.

1. Backwards compatibility isn't as easy as people think for consoles, it's like you trying to run an old DOS game with a new computer.

2. I don't see PC games much cheaper than Consoles, in fact not at all unless you're the type that waits for Steam sales bundles and odds are our also paying for something you probably don't want. New AAA games cost the same on PC as they do on a Console except I usually get a disc with the console which I enjoy. If you're buying a disc than console games are usually the same price or cheaper. For instance I bought Bat Man AC GOTY for 19.99 at Amazon the PC version wasn't even available.

Sorry but I completely disagree with your second point. I own a PS3 and a gaming computer and the value per dollar is ridiculously higher with the PC (I'm not even counting MODS). Especially if you are somewhat patient and wait for deals. Often times new games are cheaper on PC also due to not having to pay any license fees to the consoles. Its going to be interesting to see if games will be cheaper without a used game market/linked games for consoles, or if the publishers are just going to rape gamers.

PS.  don't buy things you don't want. You can apply that in many areas of your life as well.

Well you can disagree all you want but a new release 60$ game is 60$ no matter where you buy it, and when you buy things in a bundle you have no choice in buying things you may not want you either take it or leave it, but with a PC you can't even resell it.

No. Bioshock Infinite was 45 dollars and came with 2 free games preordered. A New release $60 game is not always $60. Like I said before, lack of franchising fees will sometimes bring the launch price down. I won't even touch the bundle topic, because it is completely variable on what the buyer wants.

Looking at getting this laptop. I'll be doing some gaming on it. Is it worth the extra $150 for the upgrade from 720p to 1080p???

CPU: 3rd generation intel core i7 -3630QM (2.40 GHZ 6MB)

Card: Geforce GTX660M 2GB

Ram: 8GB PC3-12800

Thanks in advance

He isn't very picky about any of those things. He just wants a decent laptop that could handle moderately taxing games. I think I'm gonna go with the ultrabook DJ_Headshot posted. Thanks everyone for the input.

Ahhhhhh.... thats what i figured. I don't expect it to play skyrim on max, but maybe something that could handle less powerful games, such as Diablo 3/ SC2/ dragon age origins on medium quality??

So my brother is going to college and wants a laptop for school that can also play games. $800 budget. I know laptops aren't the greatest for games and the budget isn't high enough for a great gaming laptop, but any suggestestions would be greatly appreciated!
