I'm not dissing anyone here, honest. This question specifically applies to me, as the sole reason of getting a next gen console involved it being on my budget and on the market at the time (No store had the annoying Wii, annoying being I looked in 15 stores before giving up), as less family friendly and leaning more on the mature side. Now I realized too late what a mistake that was, as the xbox 360 involves 2 genres which I hate the most; racing and shooting.

I am not saying there's anything wrong with those brands, it's just that I personally don't like shooting nor racing. I'm sure there are the same share of people who don't like RPG, fighting, or, in my mom's case games that "involve the devil." I'm holding out with Ultimate Alliance, Street of Rage 2, and Eternal Sonata, but if DMC4 (just cause mom hates it don't mean I should) and Ninja Gaiden 2 don't make a big success, then by all means, goodbye xbox 360

well if you play it like a run and gun then you get ur ass killed. if you take cover then you live. its more of a camping game and i realize that it might not be as tactical as R6V, but still its stupid to call it run and gun.

Can you name 1 game that you think is a run and gun without contridicting your definition?

halo, unreal series, doom. And seriously if you play cod4 as a run and gun then boy did you miss the whole point of the game.

Halo is not a run in gun if you don't consider COD a run and gun. If you run out you will die a lot, but if you stay back and take cover you will live.

but what makes it a run and gun for me is that the game is set up as a run and gun. what that means its that there is little to no cover and you can tolerate a moderate rate of damage. In COD 4 its the opposite because it has realistic feel. you die after a few shots and the levels are crowded with cover, buildings, etc...but again in any game if you run out in the open you are just waiting to get shot.

well simple question: are you seriously going to run and gun in real life. So yes, if the devleopers of COD 4 wanted a realistic game then a run and gun must have been the last thing in their mind.
