@ahmad996 i have played all creed games and truthfully the only one i enjoyed was 2 and bortherhood. they are all the same im done with ubisoft and thier yearly cash grabs.
you also gave assasins creed 3 an 8.5, and convinced me to buy that god awful game.
yet bioshock gets a 4. Batman gets a 6. and the last of us gets an 8. are you telling me assasins creed 3 was better than TLOU??? I'm done with this site i cannot trust the reviews, i will get my news elsewere.
awful, just awful. Supporting characters are rarely sympathetic ?? look at the world they live in. Combat contains too many immersion-breaking exploits ?? i dont know what you are talking about but how about not useing the exploit??? i just finnished this game and it is nothing other than a 9++ masterpeice. tom mcshea does it once again. this just reiterates why i HATE gamespot and why i NEVER listen to reviews. i go by GS user score which right now is a 9.1.
You make a good point in this article but 95% of the things mentioned in this article also go the same way for guys.
Nathan drake, ezio, street fighter cast, male JRPG protagonist's are all perfect to some degree or another, weather they be steroid enduced freaks or model perfect gods.
The thing is it dosen't bother me. Infact i prefer my male protagonists that way. I dont thinks its unfair that i expect the same quality from the female protagonists or side characters.
I understand thier are deeper problems such as females being type cast as dasels in distress and thing switching tropes would be a refreshing change to some degree i would love to see zelda save prince link in the next zelda game.
@tomMcshea - thats a good column and makes me feel sad as to this day i play many mutluplayer games that only have a small community left. But what I want from Gamespot or the gaming media is someone to step in and give an honest opinion Mass Effect 3's end. It's a total blackout and I know someone wants to write what they realy think but the topic is hot and they will be the first target EA will hit.
I dont know why i come here anymore the gaming media is a joke, case in point. EA has their hand so far down your pocket you are to afraid to say anything. YOU ARE PATHETIC GAMESPOT.
If i bought a game and it had a bad ending then fair deal what can i do. BUT if i play a game series that is centred around CHOICE and on the final installment decides to take away that choice then they should not be able to get away with it. Most of the people screaming how this will affect gaming negatively have not played the mass effect series and simply do not realise what bioware did themselves!!!
