I'm considering purchasing a 3DS for some occasional gaming (I no longer play games at home), but moreso than the gaming machine I need a music player with high capacity, good file support and great sound quality. Opinions?

I think you guys are misinterpreting what I mean... For the most part game quality is tied to the current console hardware... I'm wondering that if I build now the machine I build will not be powerful enough to compete against console titles that will invevitably be optimized for console hardware and poorly ported to Windows.
