hmm seems like they made an error on the X2 5000+ (3.0ghz) cant be as the X2 5000+ is rated at 2.6 ghz with 512kb cache per core. I hve the X2 5600+ 2.82 ghz 1mb cache per core. so i think they made an editorial error, or perhaps they merely overclocked it to 3.ghz, i found my 5600+ can easily oc to 3.08ghz easily on air with my 9700 LED ZALMAN. but anyhoo thought id point that out.

personally I wont be purchasing a PS3 for the main thing is 1 its cost $500+, 2, the games cost $60! also the Blue-ray drive seems like a forced Feature which ups the price needlessly. Id rather have it as a optional feature like a external drive or exchangable drive. My dual core6000+ AMD X2 system with my 8800 is far more powerful, and has more features than the PS3 can ever hope to achieve. I will stick to my PC gaming, yeah its a bit more expensive I ll give it that, but I have far wider variety in my choice of games than PS3 can ever give, online, patches, ability to browse, in the end PS3 is not my cup of tea and lot of the failed popularity is due to SOny's own incompetence.

PS3 is an overpriced hunk of TECH. Blue ray isgood chunk of that $599 price, and personally I couldnt careless about Blue ray because I have no HDTV, and even if i did, Would i be paying $599 for a console that is subsequently problematic at best when it comes to stability, backwards compatibility, and other niggling annoyances that come with a next gen console. Xbox360 has obviously shown us MS has done a great overall job with the console, with updates, firmware updates, the inclusion and overall sucess of the new xbox live. I am a true pc gamer, but if i had a choice my choice would be to go to an Xbox360 because MS has a proven record with the 360 not to mention its hell a damn cheaper for the similar tech it features.
