I was thinking the same thing about the delays though the delays might have done it some good. I'm just concerned one of the selling points in the latest trailer was "Korn did a single for this game". :?
Well Forza is better over all and it has a much more in depthcar customisation system than need for speed has and some of the vynal designs that people have made are awesome if thats your thing, I would go with Forza.
See I can understand the jump from VHS to DVD as DVD quality was higher had added features didn't take up as my physical space and VHS tapes would eventually fade and die where as DVD do not lose quality.
I have over 300 DVD's and I have no idea why I would want to upgrade to a HDDVD/BR player the quality of plain old DVD's is just fine in my opinion it just doesn't seem as worth it as the VHS-DVD jump.
Yes I traded in my old premium which ive had since launch for an elite and I can confirm they have changed nothing about the inner workings other than the HDMI support there is a video of a elite getting stripped down on youtube and they confirm nothing has been changed.
