Never married, don't even have a girlfriend. I'm not against the idea, but having only myself to provide and care for is much easier on the wallet. I've also seen (or heard of) a lot of marriages going south. I'm always discouraged when I hear about couples getting divorced. Seems like if you really love someone maybe you shouldn't marry them.

Both should be working if you ask me. Living expenses should not double by being two, however income could double.

I'd like to be able to provide for both of us so that she wouldn't have to work if she didn't want to. Like, if she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom for example, I'd be cool with that. Of course if she did want to work that'd be great too since there would be two checks coming in and she'd have her own spending money.

I enjoyed reading some blogs back in the day. Some of the staff would post some interesting blogs, and when the user videos feature was implemented a lot of people started posting video blogs. I enjoyed those the most. I particularly liked GabuEx's blogs, very informative and intelligently written.

With social media so prevalent these days, there's no use posting a blog on a somewhat-dead gaming website anymore.

Had trouble finding my usual groceries this weekend, but other than that it really hasn't affected me yet. No current cases in my town, and my manufacturing job will continue for the time being with no planned shutdowns. That can certainly change though. If I am quarantined, I live alone so I'll literally be around nobody.

I've lived alone now for four years, but I don't always feel lonely. I've actually being gaming less and less over the years, so I don't think gaming on its own has anything to do with loneliness. Gaming can actually be a very social activity if you make it that way. Some of my best gaming memories were with other people. In fact, one of the reasons why I think I've been gaming less is because playing single player games all the time is getting old and I'd like gaming to be more of a social experience to be shared with others.

@dariency: OMFG! You are back!!! I thought you disappeared without a trace. I saw you're last note of leave but I never thought you would come back. Welcome back.

That's been so long ago now, how time flies. I've posted in a couple of other threads, but this is pretty much the only board I check. Nice to see some of the old timers still around.

Source: https://www.al.com/politics/2020/02/state-reps-bill-would-force-men-to-get-vasectomies-at-50.html

The legislation by state Rep. Rolanda Hollis, D-Birmingham, says that a man will have to pay for the vasectomy “at his own expense."

Hollis said the bill is a response to last year’s abortion bill that passed the legislature and included a near-total ban on abortion.

“The vasectomy bill is to help with the reproductive system, and yes, it is to neutralize the abortion ban bill ... it always takes two to tango," she said. “We can’t put all the responsibility on women. Men need to be responsible also.”

I don't think this will pass, but I don't understand the point of this. How many guys 50 and over are fathering children?

Because everyone is taking the secondary question and answering it and not the primary. The primary question is as quoted:

Answering your primary question is simple: IF there is an all powerful supreme being, he would care about your beliefs. You are his creation, after all.

Have you ever made anything with your own two hands? You tend to value you it, despite how trivial it might seem.

I think a better question to ask is why a god would create anything. Supposedly, god has always been; He had no beginning. But we did have a beginning, and so has the entire universe. Logic would suggest that there was a time when god was entirely by himself with no creation. What gave him the desire to create? Is it reasonable to assume that an all-powerful god could desire anything at all? If so, why does he then desire (or demand) our belief and service to him? It doesn't make sense to me, but on the other hand maybe it isn't supposed to. I am just a mere mortal human, after all.

Religion is all faith based. They believe if you don't have faith then you will never understand it and never see the "light". You have to just trust and have the faith that what you believe in is true, and if that's you then great. I believe that if you don't truly trust or have faith in something then you shouldn't believe it. You're just wasting your time and everyone elses.

That being said, I truly believe that a lot of people who call themselves Christian aren't really Christian. In the Christian faith, you're supposed to dedicate your life to god and adopt a Christian lifestyle, and a lot of people aren't doing that. Some claim that all you have to do is believe in Jesus and that's it, you're saved. Is it really that easy? That's not how I was raised. The Christianity of today seems like a big joke and is more about who has the biggest congregation and the biggest church. Sure you have your few hardcore Christians, but these would be viewed as extremists by most.

Nothing can really help at this point. Theses forums have been gradually dying for years, and so has the site as a whole. I think the final nail in the coffin happened when Giant Bomb joined with CBS Interactive, and Gamespot essentially became a clone of Giant Bomb. That said, Giant Bomb is the closest you'll get to the old Gamespot. At least Jeff and the crew still produce video content. Sometimes even Rich Gallop makes a guest appearance.
