]I think radial menus work great with the mouse when done right. The comma-rose in the Battlefield games and the suit power selection in Crysis were very easy to use; just a quick click and a flick of the wrist was all it took.

That is, of course, if the menu is click-hold-release. Clicking on slices of a pie would be kind of a bummer.
Hmm good point, the one in Crysis was pretty easy to use. Also the ones that you use for vocalize commands in Left 4 Dead are good. Hopefully it will be like those.

mate, after using windows 7, you won't be able to go back to xp. i have ultimate, but you don't really need it; home premium 64-bit is more than enough for home use and gaming
So my 8800GT recently kicked the bucket. I tried to request an RMA through Leadtek but the card is out of warranty. I was planning to buy a new card like a 460GTX anyway but I was just wondering if there was anything I could do with this dead card. Maybe try the oven trick on it? I don't know. Any suggestions?

the oven trick might work.. like did it slowly lose quality and preformance or did it jsut outright wake up one morning to find is dead..
I think it was in part due to some crappy RAM I had in there. I was playing left 4 dead 2 and got some really strange graphics anomalies out of nowhere then the game crashed. I turned the computer off. Next time I turned it on, it gave the beep code for video card error.
