After seriously giving the PS Vita consideration, I didn't buy it for two reasons. One, the price. I don't think the price is absurd and I think it will fix itself over the next six-months when it comes down a bit. Certainly by Christmas. Two, the proprietary memory card for me is the deal breaker that won't be fixed. I agree with this article. Sony obviously didn't do a very good business case for making the memory cards proprietary and not including them in the box with the base system. In two-years, I think this will be the main reason the PS Vita will be deemed a failure. Companies don't seem to get it. In there paranoia to defend against piracy they don't realize they are cutting themselves in adoption. People adopt flexibility. People do not adopt closed technologies that cannot be leveraged for lots of different things.
