I think this really has to do with what you like to play.I'm a wii60 owner and both machines get alot of attention.Of course I'm also 32 years old ,and when I was a kid nintendo was really theonly option, so I'm kind of attached to all the old nintedo IP's.The virtual console was alot of the reason I got the wii as well,for the same reason. So if you're open minded and don't think you're to hardcore for a nintendo system go for it .Sure the graphics aren't as good as the competition.But nitendo more than made up for it with innovation(and before anyone says nintendo didn't invent motion control,I know that.But they were the first to get it in to my house ,so they win)).Anyway I love my wii,but I'm also a total whore for Zelda,mario,metroid and all the classic nintendo titles.So if you're not into nintendos brand of awesome the wii might not be for you.But i guarantee if you give it a chance it will only serve to broaden you're gaming experience.Plus since my 360's going off for repair tomorrow I'm damn glad ive got my wii right now.
Some of you are seriously messed up.The first time I jumped a curb and squished a kid it would change the the whole game in my mind,and not for the better.I think sacrificing some realism is beneficial to control the feeling of any game.Ive always thought arguing realism in video games was kind of dumb anyway.Its like getting pissed because you're cartoons aren't realistic enough.Its a video game its about escapism and suspended disbelief.
I liked the crackdown demo.And yeah it bites of off gta,just like halo bites of off every fps before it.Thats why we use the term genre to categorize game types.
Im going to buy crackdown and give the halo 3 beta away.Thats right i said it.I never cared for halo.But hey thats just my opinion.
I also think its kind of ridiculous to pay 60 bucks for a beta.Its like paying full theater admission just to watch a trailer.
