I'm sorry but do you know how much it cost to develop a game these days? it'd cost them way too much money to put in those extra effort to fill in those 50 gig space where they could just make a regular 9 gig space game that have more userbase, like gear of war for example, or DMC4, ect... and make alot more profit and move on to the next game. There will be some respectable artist who attually take their time like Kojima for example who will try to fill in the content but you must realize that is not a smart business plan. Nowaday, there just isn't enough of those artist who perfecting their works anymore, they 'd need to start making money for the company or for themselves.

I do believe if the PS3 stick with DVD format, having the same spec as the Xbox360, it would have gotten alot more userbase by now, in other word, if it was cheaper, it would even outsell the Wii just because ofSony brand.

It's true that the ps3 would probably have sold more units, if they had stuck to the DVD format... Sony took a chance by looking a bit into the future, and I think it'll do them good in the long run

That's what some people don't understand, as the development methods and content evolves more space shall be required.

I totally agree with that statement.

since the PS3 came out on NOV 17th it has sold 2.5+ million. The 360 has barely sold just over 300,000. I think the PS3 is catching up fast. Especially come this Xmas. casey7672

I don't know where you got your numbers, but 360 sold 1.1 million alone in December leading up to Christmas. That's considerably more than 300,000 that you claim they sold in 5+ months.

40 Gigs might sound like a lot to you now, but in 10 years, that'll be nothing to download.  Fiber Optics are much faster than current cable speeds. And I don't even know what's coming down the pipeline in the near future, but one thing I'm sure of is that we're nowhere near our maximum capabilities when it comes to download speeds.

10 years ago, 100 Mb files were considered pretty big.

I personally like it much more. I'm about to finish the campaign a second time and I like doing the SP missions to try and better my score to post online.

 The graphics and AI support are much improved.  It's almost too easy (even on Elevated) with the ability to have a medic (more heals) and the M.U.L.E. (full health/weapons when it's part of your support).
