Yea it's not about graphics but this doesn't come out of nowhere. The community asked for this, they are selling points people compare games and but they also compare specs.

As an "upgrade" the xbox one x is how it should be done. Unfortunately first party titles suffered as a result, but now that the hardware is out they will put all focus on games and VR.

The huge marketing campaigns and ps4 bundles also helped.

@onehitta323: Not true, it's actually the opposite, they arrived at the specs after testing multiple current games and engines (software).
