Wow funny how on gamespot's other updated posts they are at the top of the article for this article its at the bottom but whatever....Also all the problems with the micro transactions were gone before the game launched in early access on Tuesday 12am. Now i know they said they were going to figure out a different use for the crystals but hopefully its strictly for cosmetic items. so that whole first part of the article is wrong and invalid 2nd they make it seem like the only way to get credits, crafting parts, & crystals is from the micro transactions which wasn't/isn't true at all. They have challenges (like COD) for every class, subclass, hero, modes, and kills which rewards you with credits, crafting parts, attachments, and crystals so idk what GS is talking about. Also the campaign is solid, This campaign is better then the OG BF/BF2 cuz its an actual story not just dialog on multiplayer maps. They try and tie the game in with the cinematic universe (spoilers i think Iden verso and Del are Reys parents IMO) definitely going to be an expansion on campaign or setting up for BF3. Along side the multiplayer mode they also have split screen/solo arcade mode which is a good way to test out things and learn the heroes and maps also play with a friend on your couch. As for the Multiplayer a huge step up from BF instead of waiting for spawns on the field for heroes and star fighters you earn battle points(a lot like homefront) from kills, playing objective, doing supportive things which can be spent on tanks, super classes(rocket trooper,Super battle droids) heroes, star fighters, and gunships. they have a class system(assault, heavy, officer, specialist) now like Battlefield and OG battlefronts each class as of right now has 4 weapons to unlock with 4 attachments for each weapon. So much better then BF which i only rented that game and had completely unlocked everything before returning besides the alternate cosmetic heads. That is just about everything that this review left out. I'm not saying to forgive EA for this screw up but like every game now a days it takes some patching to get the game on the right track. I've been playing the game since Tuesday 12am the early access and I've already unlocked all heroes and half of the classes guns/attachments its been a full week so honestly not too bad compared to BF. If you like Battlefield and love Star Wars there is no reason not to get this game.
Wow I must say when Ubisoft first releases their games its not really a functional game but after a year or 2 of getting enough feedback and data they really shape-en the games up quiet nicely, The Division is a good example and their still currently updated it. For Honor is getting there they just need to fix Unblockables and Zone attacks, but at least for me the server stability has gotten much better not perfect but leaps and bounds from where it started. I just hope with their next few releases (AC:Origins Skull&Bones.) they learned enough from those franchises to know what to do from the start and not take 1 to 2 years to fix.
I dont know what gamespot was talking about last episode, for me it was just one thing that was a little far fetch and that was gendry getting back to the wall before dark and in just one night a raven got to Dragons reach and Dani was able to fly back within the same night to reach them by morning. Otherwise everything else made a ton of sense they were setting up for this finale... Now as for this Episode i feel somethings were dragged out a bit too much i understand the big pow-wow was something we all waited for, for a long time but I'd rather other seen a little more of the WhiteWalkers even though i had a huge hunch that was going to be the ending scene the wall being torn down. Or for them to wrap up a few more loose ends like how the unsully got back and wouldve liked to see euron greyjoy reaching the iron bank and getting the golden company. And one of the biggest where the hell in Gendry now?, I feel this season finale fell a bit short was a little to predictable like littlefinger dying who didnt see that coming Sansa never trusted him to begin with, A big tell was when Sansa told Breanna Tarth to go to kingslanding. And obviously finding out Jons parents cuz we heard gilly talk about it in S7E6 and obviously bran would know. i thought all those things wouldve for sure been in the season finale since we've all waited so long for jon to find out. Also theres been way to much hinting at bran being the main character of this whole series did anyone else notice the night king has a new look? looks alot like bran stark to me.
@lostn: my theory and others theories are that the night king is bran stark the three eyed raven.. The night king probably saw a vision that the dragons would come and he would have his chance probably why hes been slowing moving south.....i believe the vid about the bran fan theory is on youtube called bran is all of them or something to that effect guy makes a good statement very convincing argument...and whats funny is they have been hinting at bran being the main character since season 1 LOL...also has anyone else noticed the night king looks different more like bran at least they have the same nose.
@spartan1888: If you remember back in season 6 i believe it was episode 6 when benjen stark saved bran he said there was an ancient spell that kept the dead from passing...my guess is that as a wight you cannot go near or pass the wall unless destoryed.
@joejoe1639: So you havent played the game and yet you still are trying to make a comment on the game off of a video you saw?.... WTF?!..........Im not even a die hard jason fan and i think the game is really fun i play usually like 5-6 matches a day and its fun, on xbox there really isnt all the problems that this reviewer made it seem thanks to LFG system. Also ive seen worst game launches from AAA companies so honestly this wasnt that bad. I think the reviewer was just expecting a lot more from a game preview/indie game. ( and just to name one launch worst was Diablo 3 error 37 that shit happened for 3 days to me.)
@angrycreep: I know its a really shitty reason but probably cuz of funding and they knew people wanted it and would buy it. Now they have some $$ backing them they can hopefully fix it. The xbox and pc got an update just before the weekend which fixed a bit.
Yes the game was broken when released but I wouldnt call it unplayable at least not for the xbox. With the update that just happened theres no worries about drop connections or server time outs. The game does still crash after 5-6 games though but with the xbox LFG system you can always find a match or host one with ease. Also I found playing solo counselor for the beginning part is better for covering more ground mics are needed though for the most part. As jason my 2 cons are the "ring around the rosey" crap the counselors can do in houses around furniture to certain jasons is just dumb. Also how some counselors will just hide for like 11mins of the game should be a limit before showing a marker when you stay in one spot. I'd also like to say that the developer illfonic isnt really known for having an abundance of players on their games so their servers got hit hard. they were excepting 10,000s and they got well over that on xbox alone. And a recent AMA they said it was going to be like a game preview where they would hopefully just add more as time goes on. So yes for a launch it was a 4 at best but a week later at least on the xbox its a fun & functional game worth a 7.5/8.0 depending on what content is still left to come out. IMO.....
