@Gazkapop considering they've re released the same console only with a new controller for the last 3 generations i recon nintendo must be making a truck load of cash. when you consider their current console is running a hardware spec that wasn't even good 6 or 7 years ago they must be making a massive profit on each unit sold seeing as the cost of components in a wiiU must be somewhere around 0 compaired to a xb1 or ps4.
@MusclesJAM thats a pretty silly thing to think. the future of cloud gaming dosnt realy have much to do with infastructure/speed/latency. many places in the world the infastructure is good enough already. the problem comes from the fact that to play a A++ games on a cloud system you need to have a rather exspensive dedicated pice of hardware at the cloud end. and you need 1 PER PLAYER. these systems dont get any cheaper ether because hardware becomes outdated so quickly. your talking about a company basicaly having to buy hundreds of thousands of xbox360's then just throw them all away after 5 years or so. think of the cost that would pass to the users. and the grafics of consoles like that already look dated when theyre released let alone 5 years down the line compaired to PC. its total insanity.
@Thumbler76 theres absolutly no reason for any mmo to carry a sub fee these days. server costs are neer 0 in the grand sceme of things, paying for bug fixes it retarded and you will no doubt have to pay for expansions anyway...
black ops 2 will just be another map pack... just as all the cod games have been since cod2... you change the age its set in and change weapons but underneath its still just a bog standard shooter...
consoles seem almost the same on textures and lighting but the colors on ps3 and pc are waaay nicer and the textures on pc look alot more detailed. overall though imo the consoles lack of AA hurts them the most. PC>PS3>360 but then again you generaly play a pc from a couple of feet away whereas a console youd play from way away on the sofa so i doubt the ps3 and 360 versions would show any notable difference if you looked at them side by side on a tv from across a living room.
