I would do that as well, but sadly my family doesn't want ethernet cords running all around the house :(
Yes long eternet cables do cause problems in the house. People tripping over the cords is bad for both the tripper and the person using the internet. Wireless is always a option tho it is expensive the x-box 360 wireless adapter is 100 bucks but its a good investment.
Yeah, thats what I was thinking of doing. Would I suffer from major lag having a router and adapter on different stories of my house?
I've heard of losing some signal from using wireless but thats expected cause your not getting all the signal from a straight line its floating around in the air. I think personally a eternet cable will always give you the best signal. Just buy a really good wireless router and adapter and you shouldn't have any noticable lag.
