They need to be throwing a dedicated GPU on top of whats being described here if they are serious about building a next gen system that's going to carry through a traditional console life span. if they don't do that I may just sit this generation out and build a gaming pc. something I haven't done since 2002 and swore I wasn't going to ever do again.

@TxtBin There have been studies that have suggested that playing violent video games can be an effective form of anger management, allowing people to vent there aggression in virtual form instead of potentially acting out in real life. Its kind of like hitting a punching bag when your angry instead of hitting your wife. where not trying to outlaw or regulate punching bags now are we? of course not, that would be ridiculous and so is trying to blame video games for real world violence by crazy people.

that being said, its still not appropriate for impressionable children to be playing violent video games for any reason. they are still forming there world view and that shouldn't be biased by violent media.

The fact is, the one thing that almost all these mass shootings have in common is evidence of mental and or social disorder. The real problem seems to be effective treatment for medical disorders including some being involuntarily committed where needed. we used to do this until some bleeding heart liberals got there way. now people have to commit an act of violence first before the can be committed even when there is overwhelming evidence that they are psychotic and a clear danger to the community.

@bartrams If you stopped playing crisis 2 after the first level how can you have an opinion about the linearity of the game as a whole. while crisis 2 was no open world game it did have sandbox elements in that it would give you wide open spaces and allow you to approach them in different ways and with different tactical strategies. you ask why crisis 2 isn't more popular if it is indeed pushing the system like they say and to that i say maybe there's more to a good game than just using the systems resources. there's something called game play that's just as much a factor if not more so than technical competency. I agree with you that uncharted is the more beautiful game but that has a lot to do with art direction. the fact that uncharted runs at 720p where crisis 2 on ps3 runs at sub HD frame buffer resolution dosnt hurt either. in fact, that fact alone suggests crisis2 is more technical demanding on resources otherwise it would be 720p also.

@cortana64 spears are lame in dragonborn and feels lazy to me. why would I shoot a spear with a bow and why does it only do 10 damage. lame. and giving you a dragon to ride but not letting you steer is also lame.

@DP1130 you hit the nail on the head. there not really using a new engine. they just took the Gamebryo engine used in morrowind and bult on top of it. its like building a fraight train using the frame from a old chevy truck. eventually all the stress will cause the weak links the crack.

@blackace @booty56 yah and It shouldn't have been in those games eather. Look, its this simple, Games are given a budget and an expected time of completion. With multiplayer built in, the devs have to take time and money away from making the singleplayer game and that usualy results in a compromised experience for both single player and multiplayer. I think developers need to focus on creating one or the other. make a great no compromises singleplayer game or make a great no compromises multiplayer game. To play devil's advocate, I can see why they want to create multiplayer games. Its easier to do so once you have the infrastructure in place. there's much less creativity and inovation required in making a good multiplayer game. Lets face it, multiplayer hasnt changed that much since the days of Quake 3 or Unreal turnament. In fact, in my opinion, I think those earlier games where more fun.

@romanseight1 Screen tearing is not a result of poor fps, it's do to lack of v-sync and / or buffering. Whats your point other than to troll?
