i would go for the 7970 because driver updates will give more performance, and be supporetd longer. and use less power.

Next nvidia cards probably won't be out til June. 7970 or even a 7950 would be better buy now anyway. Or just wait for next nvidia, I am.

Hi i want to buy a gaming laptop with a $700-1000 budget what i want is a decent graphics card that can run games with mid-high - HD monitor (14-15 inch is preferred), 3-4 Gb of ram, 320-500 gb storage and a good CPU (i5 probably is good ) please reply ASAP.

go to newegg.com and look at MSI or ASUS, MAYBE RECERTIFIED or open box.

What do you think of this fellow?

Asus G53SX-SZ002V

Intel Core i7 2630QM / 2 GHz

8 GB DDR3 SDRAM - 1333 MHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M

As far as I can tell, it's pretty good for the price but input is appreciated.

Filthybastrd

looks great, would be a great choice if getting a laptop now. should handle all games on decent settings. its a very worthy gaming laptop. either the Asus with GTX 560 or the MSI GT683R with the GTX 560 .

the difference in gaming is so small, it won't be noticed. but the price is much different. a 750watt psu will run 6970 crossfire easily, but not a sli gtx580 setup. 6970 for the win. sticking to the topic.
