I think you should mentioned this before, i though this was more of a showing how big the comunity is right now (it sounded that way, specially because of the PC FTW phrase, since it doesn't have anything to do with the videos), anyway, yeah, i'm agree with that then.

madsnakehhh

The situation with the players is mentioned in the video's so I dont need to mention the specifics. The PC FTW comment is because gaming on this level is only available on PC, you dont have games anywhere near the awesomeness as these 2 games on consoles, not even close. Im really thrown off here, I figured there would be alot of people saying how impressive Spanishiwa is, and how cool SC2 looks being played on this level.

Many people here don't follow the SC2 scene, so if i wanted to demostrate anything, i would have started by giving an introduction on the subject.

Well people here are generally fairly hardcore gamers, the videos explain themselves, Husky does a better job than I ever could. Just enjoy what is actually happening in the games themselves, we dont need a soap opera to go with it.

C'mon TC, those are not even the best StarCraft 2 games outhere, no WitheRa, no Idra, no Jinro, no TLO? and i'm not even mentioning the best Korean players, there are tons of games much better than this ones.

madsnakehhh

These are new games by up and coming players that are helping to be creative and move the meta game forward to evolve the game. I could have picked any of hundreds of games by alot of top tier players, I dont think I chose bad ones. Spanishiwa is really hott right now, alot of people are talking about his style and hes really fun to watch, and that coming from me, a terran who hates the zerg is saying alot :P

I'm sorry, I like video games and all, but this is why people who enjoy gaming are labeled as nerds.

caseystryker

Everybody here posts on a video game website and argues about which console/games are better than others. Everyone here is a nerd

Haha, I know, I'm the videos just struck me as funny. As a person who has never played the game it just sounds odd to hear an announcer stating that he needs to protect his 8 fungal growths.

Well professional Starcraft has had announcers sine the late 1990's. And its perfectly ok to not play, there are a ton of people who just like to watch the pros.

You linked me to a husky video? screw you. husky's videos suck and he already got owned by athene when it comes to starcraft.

alfredooo

Lol, it wasnt to promote Husky although I like his videos and artosis and HDstarcraft, its to promote the amazing play of Spanishiwa in these games, so people can see just how crazy and awesome the high tiered uber skilled games are.

eh they had the same videos for starcraft 1 and I still thought it was a rather mediocre game when it came to campaign and graphics...I mean really even when Starcraft 1 was released there were far better rts's released and far better looking ones...All starcraft is over the years is Blizzard changing the game through patches for what the players are doing...oh this patch the zerg are more powerful...okay this one its the terrans...etc..etc

I just can't see how any one can enjoy the game outside of multiplayer...

  • Also its the Godfather of professional E-sports, this isnt a post about whether Starcraft is a good game or not LOL. Just try to enjoy the details of the things the players do in the videos that make them special. Try not to be so negative and grumpy and just enjoy the game, watching top end players do amazing things is alot of fun dude.

Pro starcraft gamers get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, they are on television, and have girls cheering for them. I dont think they care and I dont think we should care. The game is great and we are gamers, who cares what people think. Also gaming has changed alot, when I was a kid you didnt talk about your sega genesis at school, its much more socially accepted nowadays.
