I have a few questions. I've got some PS1 games that are listed on gamefaqs, but not on gamespot. Would a link to the gamefaqs info page be sufficient info as I really don't want to have to fill out all the details for each and every game (but I will if necessary)? And is PS1 too "old" to be considered for inclusion? Is any format considered too "old"? I'm guessing not, going by the example given in the opening post, but just wanted to check. Sorry for asking, but I don't want to waste anyone's time by adding useless/unnecessary info.

I have one, but it hasn't had much use. I keep meaning to play my eye-toy games more, but never seem to get round to it. I've got Eyetoy Play, Eyetoy Groove and Sega Superstars and I'm sure some of my other games have some eyetoy features.

I'm kinda in the middle, but EVENTUALLY there be no choice but to buy digital.

MarcRecon

And that will be the day I stop buying new games. I like to have physical copies in my hand with (hopefully) a box and instruction manual. But as you say, it will be "eventually" and when the dreaded day comes I'll still have more physical games than I could ever hope to finish, so it won't be the end of the world for me.

I've got a few VC games and a WiiWare game, so I'm not totally anti-digital distribution, but I just like "owning" real tangible things I guess - my book, CD, DVD and games collections will attest to that. :?

Threads, it was a BBC movie made years ago and the plot was all about the aftermath of a nuclear war.MushroomWig

Argggghh! I remember that! There was that and The Day After which was American and they both freaked me out - they were made in the early 80s when we were all convinced nuclear war was imminent. Threads was on a Sky channel fairly recently (within the last year I'd say) and I watched it again and still found it disturbing. Another good anti-nuke film is When the Wind Blows - it's an animated film based on the book by Raymond Briggs and is heartbreakingly sad.

I find Asian horror movies very disturbing (and hate it when all the good A-Horror fims get crappy American remakes - not that it affects me in any way as I wouldn't watch them - sat through about 10 minutes of the US Ring 2 and turned it off and vowed not to watch any more remakes) and am now afraid of many things thanks to them. Ringu made me frightened of videos and TVs, Pulse made me frightened of PCs, One Missed Call made me scared of mobile phones (but If I did have a mobile, I would SO have that ringtone), The Eye made me even more nervous than I already was of elevators etc. etc.

Some films I find disturbing simply because I have no clue what the heck is going on - Eraserhead and Jacob's Ladder totally spooked me when I first saw them - sadly I watched Eraserhead again recently and came to the conclusion that it was rubbish and not disturbing at all.

Cannibal Holocaust and Teeth would be my selections. Both are unsettling to say the least.

worthyofnote

Ha ha - Teeth made me laugh so much! But I'm female, so it would, wouldn't it?

Hmm, probably around 150 GBP or so (around $240), but I got a lot for my money - they were all used games from eBay or amazon and I shopped around for the best deals between those 2 sites. My best buy was Sydney 2000 for the Dreamcast for 1p (1.50 p&p though) and I think I got around 30 games in total. I hadn't bought any games for ages until last month when I had a big splurge and bought some games I'd been meaning to get for a while. I was also lucky enough to be given around a dozen (original) Xbox games by a work-mate whose sister had bought them for him, not realising he didn't have an Xbox. So what with that and all my recent buying and the fact I have literally hundreds of games that I haven't got round to playing yet, I'm pretty much done buying games again for a while. I've got my eye on a few eBay auctions though....

Was it definitely on the PS2? Because it sounds like Johnny Bazookatone to me - on the PS1 or Saturn (and possibly 3DO).

Hmm, I have a similar "bug" - on the forum overview page, it says this below my profile image:

 I was actually alive in 1970 (just!), but I'm not sure that this site was.

I'm also having this problem - I'm trying to remove some silly Raving Rabbids game from my tracking list with no joy. I only started using this site about a week ago and one of the things that has kept me coming back is the ability to make your own game collections, wish-lists etc. Can the mods/staff appreciate that this problem which has taken a long time to fix (with no apparent success yet) is reflecting a little bit badly on the site for a new user such as myself? It could make one think "Well, if this takes so long to fix, what else could go wrong? Does anyone even care about the users?" etc. Not that I do think that personally, but some people could...

I know it's no big deal and worse things happen at sea and all that, but I'm slightly somewhere on the range of Autistic Spectrum Disorders and this is driving me mad!! My need for perfection is outraged by this calamity! How difficult is it to fix a bit of PHP? (Honestly, this is not a sarcastic question - I genuinely don't know.) I appreciate that this is a more "complicated" site than somewhere like gamefaqs which is very plain and bare-bones, but it shouldn't take so long to fix this, should it?

I know it will be fixed soon, but please...hurry if you can! Thanks in advance!

I have several hundred games that I've not played...muthsera666

Me too - I buy games when I think they've hit the lowest price that they'll ever be because I don't want to find out a few years down the line that a game has become rare or sought-after and is selling for a ridiculously high price. Trouble is, I spend more time bumming around on sites like this, reading about games and discovering yet more games to buy that I never get around to playing any of them. Oh well - I plan on living for another 50 years at least, so hopefully I'll finish most of them some day.

May I ask how you know the first game isn't good? Have you played it? Because if you're basing it on the Gamespot rating, then don't. I mean - 6.5? Come on! It's one of my favourite games of all time, so I'm obviously a bit biased, but I thought it was darn near perfect. If you have played it and didn't like it, then don't bother with Suikoden II because it's basically more of the same, but better - in many peoples' opinion at least. I actually prefer the first one for the simple reason that the joy I felt at discovering such an amazing game wasn't replicated when I started playing II, as it is so similar.

I started playing IV, but I really didn't care for it, so you're probably wise to avoid it, but I'm sure some people enjoyed it. As for III and V, I haven't played them yet - III never had a PAL release and I haven't got around to importing it yet. I think V did get a PAL release, but I'd like to play them in order, so again, I haven't got around to buying it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but hopefully someone with more knowledge of the later games can give you some advice on them.
