This could be good...emphasis on "could". I've learned that things that sound like the greatest thing in the world usually tend to not be as much as it was initially promised. Personally I don't think something like this will over throw consoles. Though a huge portion of gamers have a pc and a broadband connection...you would be surprised with how many people don't....I for one enjoy actually holding the game i bought in my hand....something about the shiny box with all the art work makes the purchase just that much more enjoyable...
There is a reason why Ds's outsell psp's...that is all i'm going to say about some of the below comments....where people get their info is beyond me...
The jump in definition is there. You can see how much more clearer the visuals are in Galaxy (even though Gamespot apparently don't use hdtvs with their wii, which does make a difference. These images suck compared to what i get on my screen!) Overall the detail hasn't come up that much. Nintendo is still trying to use the same art style to continue capturing that same cartoony feel. Which is what mario should be! Can you imagine mario with detail such as gears of war or mass effect or metal gear 4? It wouldn't be mario! It just goes to show that graphics do not make a game. The visuals are a plus. I could care less if game isn't up to par with the best....IT'S MARIO!
I think the machin is an amazing piece of hardware, and I have always been a Sony fan. But take a look at the line up of games. Notice anything? All of the launching titles are games that are either being released on all of the other consoles, or they have simply been out around a year already. That makes me really want to spend between five hundred and six hundred dollars for it. Oh, and by the way, for all of you who love one console but hate the others; it is not the console that makes the games. Just a little something to thank about.
