I don't know why, but I pretty much use it all the time. The only times I don't use it is when I'm using a Classic Controller or GameCube controller. Even when playing Smash, though, I use the wrist strap. It just feels...better, I guess...

I agree. I use it "to be on the safe side", not cuz I'm a wimp or stupid or anything. And I've gotten used to it, so I feel weird if I don't wear it.

That's why I was asking. I'm a little new to the PS3 world. I've always contemplated getting one, but I want it to be backward compatible so I know I'd have to get a used one but want to be able to up the memory from the standard 60 or 80gb. But I'll look, thanks again.
