I'd be happy with just a fun single player that keeps me wanting to play more until I finish it. I grew up in the era where multiplayer meant you going to a friends house and you guys playing as Luigi or Mario together. It wasn't until Mortal Kombat hit the arcades that people really got in to the competitive aspect of gaming, not counting leaderboards on arcade machines also.

And from what I have seen about the SP portion of TR, I will have a lot of fun exploring, learning, and killing. To each his own.
