Mine are two oldies.

The star wars episode 1 tie in game. Reviewed badly but I always loved it on pc its a very cool 3rd person combat (lightsaber) action platformer. With a plot that adds to the narrative of the film including recreating famous scenes and added new narative sections. It's a trip for fans of the film like I was at 13 years old when It came out.

Second the star trek generations tie in game on pc. A first person action puzzler with some platforming in doom style 2.5d graphics. For a tng fan in 1998 (it actually came out after first contact) it was so cool and to this day I spend my time trying to make it work on my Windows 11 pc so that I can run arround amargosa space station once again killing romulans. It even has cool space battle sections.

Definitely both worth a look for the discerning gamer.

Found some good deals so far.

Interested what others are buying and in particular what you think are good deals, or what is cheap enough to buy now that you have wanted for a while.

Cdkeys have (all on steam)

Days Gone £8.99

Death Stranding 12.99

Spiderman 25.49

Cod 4 MW original. 11.39 (wanted the original for a while always stupidly expencive.)

Mariokart 8 booster pak 16.79

Total 73.55

From steam directly

Modern warfare remastered 17.49

Terminator resistance 13.99

Spiritfarer 5.94

37.42

110.97 total which yeah is a lot of cash but for the games I got I think that's a good deal. They will keep me going for a good 6 months.

How about you?

The 3do was a monster when it released i understand. Doing things no one had seen. I never interacted with it though.

To be honest the ps5 is still now a leap ahead of what pcs are doing untill windows 11 adds direct accsess for faster loading times.

Yea the psx was impressive on launch. But their was a section of pc that had that capability it was just nieche and very expensive in the pc space and psx made it affordable. Which is what the consoles generally do.

I have seen good things about ps3 emulation on the PC but have hit an early roadblock.

I have a Sony brand blu ray drive in my PC but its having trouble reading the ps3 discs.

Is it a proprietary format like gd rom or is my bd rom drive all effed up?

Can anyone with a blu ray PC and a ps3 disc tell me if its readable?
