one good thing is that if you get a 2 year thing with best buy they'll just give you a new one that you can exchange so you get an xbox right there. WIth MS you'd have to ship it. So it's up to you if you want to pay for the convenience, i don't know how much it is..guessing about 40, but i think i'd still do it just for the convenience factor.
im tired of this falcon BS!! are you gonna pass up on games like Gta4,halo3,assassinscreed,bioshock,cod4 for that. i would get it whenever those games came out regardless of price or "falcon". if youre that worried MS has a warranty and free shipping or just buy the extended warranty so you can exchange from the store IF ANYTHING DOES happen.

i think it's possible, xbox's graphics aren't techincally directx10, but it's a variant of it or so i've heard. It's all pretty technical, i don't think we will see it, but it'll get really close i think.
i completely disagree about sony being the next dreamcast. If any of them are, the 360 is (and i'm a 360 fanboy) because they released it 1 year early. The 360s success is all based on whether the PS3 will live up to what Sony keeps calling "the power of the cell processor" which so far we haven't seen yet. I guess only the 2008 exclusives will tell. Even if the PS3 turns out to have better rendering for something or other, it has to be a huge difference for the 360 to have the same fate as dreamcast. Either way, i don't think MS or Sony has to worry about it happening because it looks like PS3 will for sure win for 2008 with all of it's exclusives coming out then that look great.
