pretty clear these are 3-5 year consoles not 10 year

@clr84651 @larkin-54 i think thats true right now , but as steam makes its long crawl down the hall from your den to your living room . steam saved pc gaming 5 years ago and in 5 years from now all these companies will be competeing for your living room entertainment dollar

@nuntsu i'm waiting for the samsung ps or the toshiba 720 , sony and microsoft are just service providers and software publishers

@nhlcrazy @bledsoe45sbc ya but once its formated as a steam box , its no longer ps4 or xbox 360 .my point is they have to be careful they don't get to close to a true living room pc , or maybe steam should be talking to sony or microsoft about there system having the ability to have a steam partition ;-)

i've got a dumb question , if these console are going to use so much off the shelf hardware whats stopping people from formating , and throwing window on it and making there own steam box ? (not that we can't make our own but this would be a off the shelf solution)

how did games get involved with someone was was crazy and had access to tooo many guns

games are protected speech Leland , concentrate on enforcing ratings and keeping violent games out of the hands of children
