Most movies also take advantage of uncompressed audio which is leaps and bounds better than the compressed audio sent through an optical cable.BroweChisox
i think its uncompressed only through a reciever with a hdmi port.

I'm really tired of people saying that the HDMI connection and uncompressed audio sounds so much better than the analog and compressed versions. Why is that you ask? BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD IT!!!! Your receiver might have an HDMI connection but without HDMI v1.3 in the receiver itself, you can't have that kind of audio response. Will it be better, hell yeah, but it is currently not what you think it is. If you don't believe me then tell me which receiver you have that have v1.3.  Make sure you know what HDMI v1.3 is before you post.Drumachine7713
you have no idea what you are talking about. do some research first.

thats not worth it. 1080p on a 22 is useless, and the C&B ratios are total crap. dont waste money on this POS sceptre monitor.

Hey everyone... well I don't know if it's just me or not... so far I have 2 Blu-Ray movies, Talladega Nights and Mission Impossible III... and, well... GRAIN! I thought these movie were going to be crystal clear... I figured with my TV a little grain in the dark spots (SXRDs do this a little)... but the truth is, it looks "worse" than my Digital Cable feed (which is only 1080i)...

I know they're still probably playing with encoding etc on the video rendering etc... but did I just luck-out and get 2 grainy movies?

My PS3s interface etc all running in 1080p looks brilliant... it's just these movies...

Advice? Anyone else find this?

Thanks!

i will be watching mi3 tonight or tomorrow, but talladega on my display has very LITTLE grain. it actually looks pretty good, especially the seens when they show the driver in the car. i did watch mission impossible one the other day, and also noticed very little grain, but mission impossible 1 is kinda old. 50 first dates and kingdon of heaven looked VERY GOOD.
