well others like MS and Sony manage present some games that their fanbase was looking forward to .

Well, the main media cares more about Wii Music then Disaster, so why not show the main media Wii Music and Wii Sports?

Then at their own conference they show off the hardcore stuff(last year I remember Fire Emblem DS and Advanced Wars for DS were announced), the main media doesn't tend to go to this conference, so thats the time to show the hardcore.

They announced Mario Baseball, Fire Emblem DS, Advanced Wars DS on that day. They had heaps of screens and videos of Disaster, Galaxy, Brawl(actually may have been the place where Sonic was announced).
