If the specs in the original article/leaked xbox surface spec sheet have been confirmed (As is apparently the case) then there is literally no chance whatsoever it's a standalone tablet. 288MB RAM and a TI SoC? It's a tablet controller, the EXACT SAME PAGE of the document has specs for a "Stationary Computing Device" with a 1.2GB AMD GPU, POWER7 CPU and 5GB RAM.
It's Durango/XBOX 720 with a tablet controller like the Wii U, not a dedicated gaming tablet at all.

Maybe they've canned blacklist all together in favour of an actual Splinter Cell game.
As bad as Blacklist looks on Sam, an iOS or Android game would really finish him off.
Double Agent was a bit of a let down, Conviction just didn't play like a Splinter Cell game, Blacklist doesn't even look like a Splinter Cell game and they've already made a HD collection of all the good Splinter Cell games. I don't think even Sam Fisher could survive another false start
I'm still pretty hopeful for it. XBL and PSN are still awful experiences online compared to the ease PC users are accustomed to. Provided they've really spent time and come up with an easy to use to interface, it could be a real winner, especially if you're able to pause a game and pull up Miiverse at any time.
If the title wasn't Tomb Raider and the main character wasn't called Lara Croft, you wouldn't guess this has anything to do with the Tomb Raider games.

Well to be fair Far Cry 3, and alot of the other games that are now appearing to be skipping it, were all supposed to be released months ago and have just been delayed
