So it seems Overwatch isn't the only Blizzard game where they detest a "meta" line-up being formed.

The only Authoritarianism that needs to be fought is that which emanates from the PC left. Over the decades, Liberals have developed a classic case of victimism - even when they're dominant, they believe themselves as underdogs courageously fighting some oppressor. This is in spite of the fact that there isn't a single Video Game, TV show or Feature Film that espouses conservative or independent views on subjects like abortion, religion, homosexuality, etc. Liberals consider anyone who holds a different world view than them to be an enemy and this is why Political Correctness is so popular among them. PC is a tyrannical ideology that seeks to control everything from how we speak to how we think.

On the surface it seems like the left hates Trump (and they do), but he's just an avatar for what they're truly at war with - free thought. The fact that Americans freely voted for him makes libs despise him, his supporters and the democratic process that elected him, ever more viciously.

@RicanV: Yes, "last night" because earlier in the day, the comments section was open and I was reading them. When I checked again in the evening, it had been locked, thus I was no longer able to read the comments. So, let's say the GS staff locked the topics in the early evening, I did not notice it until later in the evening, i.e., "last night", when I returned to the site. How did you not understand something so easily stated?

Furthermore, at no point did I say the GS articles were "pro-Trump" (in fact they've been quite anti-Trump) as you erroneously stated. I said the comments themselves were supportive of Trump and the EO. Perhaps you should take time to read and fully comprehend what I've said before rushing to hit that reply button. Good day to you, sir.

In solidarity with @swagtile, and to echo his exact words, I am re-posting his message and encourage others to do the same.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This comment is directed purely at Gamepot, its writers, and its editors.

I have been a devote reader of your website for almost its entire run that started back in 1996. I've enjoyed your reviews, previews, and insights into the gaming industry that has evolved greatly over those 20 years.

That said, you started falling from grace when you starting covering movies, comic, and TV shows. I fully understand that the gaming industry is in a slump of sorts and gaming news isn't as robust as it once was. Again, I don't like it, but I understand the reasoning.

However, this recent trend of you covering American politics under the guise of "gaming news" is the last straw. I, like many others, don't come here to discuss or read about politics. I, like many others, come here to escape all of the nonsense going on right now. Your covering of "news" such as this is nothing more than click-bait to generate more traffic to your declining website. It's deplorable. Not to mention, you have plenty of readers who are from Canada and the UK who could care less one way or the other.

This is not news, let alone gaming news. All respect to Kojima, but his opinion on American politics matters less than any single American's, especially those who voted.

This is the third such article this week dealing with American politics. All it does is rile people up, and that's exactly what you're hoping for. I won't stand for or support this.

So I leave you with an ultimatum: either stop covering politically charged, agenda driven articles directed towards Americans or I will boycott your website. While one person may seem like nothing compared to the views you get, I will do everything in my power to ensure that one person snowballs into many.

If this comment becomes deleted, I will consider that acknowledgment that you have no intention of listening to your readers. I have spoken my mind, peacefully, yet I suspect this message won't be up for long.

If anyone else feels tired of this garbage journalism, I encourage you to do the same. Don't be a part of the problem, be part of the solution.

Last night I noticed that Gamespot is now locking any topics they're posting that deal with the Trump travel restriction EO because a great majority of the comments overwhelmingly supported our POTUS. There were some debates, but certainly nothing bad and everything was rather calm. It definitely wasn't the anti-Trump sentiment Gamespot was hoping for, so now they've locked them and you can't see/read the comments either.

With these actions, Gamespot has taken the stance that if readers views aren't in alignment with the article, they'll be disallowed from voicing them, i.e., censorship.

@iandizion713: So you don't read, eh? Well, that's on you.

You may continue calling Trump whatever you wish; That won't make it any more true. We, the independent free-thinkers, now see your fascist "liberal" party for what you really are. The lies, the propaganda, the doublespeak, the constant victimization and false-narratives aren't going to work anymore.

America has awoken. Deal with it.

@iandizion713: Your post is full of hatred and ignorance. Here's some education for you:

President Obama has barred huge groups of potentially dangerous immigrants from entering the United States at least six times, undercutting his claim that barring Muslims from terrorist countries as Donald Trump has proposed is un-American.

In his first ban, according to a search of White House records, Obama instituted a ban on "immigrants or nonimmigrants" covered by a larger United Nations travel ban. He also included those on an economic sanctions list. Most countries were Muslim.

He cited the very same section of law that many critics of his policies have asked him to use, "section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952." It says, "Whenever the president finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrant's or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."

He used the same provision five other times, one more in 2011, twice in 2012 and twice in 2014. In those, he targeted people aiding Iran, Syria, Crimea, and those involved in war crimes.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/obama-mocks-trump-but-has-barred-immigrants-many-muslim-6-times/article/2594016

Additionally, President Bill Clinton issued six immigrant bans; George W. Bush six immigrant bans; and former President Ronald Reagan four. And in 1980, former President Jimmy Carter banned Iranians after Tehran seized the U.S. embassy.

Lastly, you calling Trump a 'fascist' is also incorrect. Fascists people have zero tolerance for anyone whose world, political and sociological views don't align with their own. In other words - liberals.
