Most of my non-gaming software came from Coverdisks and PD, but hey! some of them were really outstanding.

Here's my top list of SW:

Deluxe Paint (IV as the best)

Imagine 2.0

Real 3D

Wordworth

PC-Task (along with Cross-DOS)

Digital Illusions (PD about 200KB size but quite cool for Image Processing)

Scala Multimedia

Trackers: OctaMED, Protracker

and a lot more I can't remember now...

I used to play with some old Atari 2600 and Quickshot joysticks and never had any problems. I broke joysticks but never playing Amiga games, instead I had a C64 with some joystick intensive games such as Decathlon and Summer Games series.
