I couldn't even bring myself to finish the single-player campaign. I had fun with it while I did play it, but it just sort of burned out for me towards the middle. All the missions were all the same and I just couldn't be bothered to finish any. Whenever I try and play it I just mess around for about an hour and then move onto something else again. Silent-Hal

Same here. It is fun just to hang out and fool around but as for the story I just lost interest. Actually I have a few games like that, so I obviously couldn't care less about trophies either

I agree. I think that between the two major HD gaming consoles the difference is minimal in the end product. PS3 is supposedly superior but has yet to prove this consistently. The few games that are exclusive to each system make it difficult to choose one over the other. Maybe we would be better of if there was only one console to chose from?

I think it would be a good idea as lets face it, for most non gamers its a pretty ugly pieace of hardware. If it looked better more people would purchase it for its BD playing and get a great games console for free.

Watch out! Mine never made this noise and recently started to. It's as though the disk was rubing something? I would eject the disc and re-insert it and all would be fine. Fast forward 3 days DEAD PS3!

they are breaking because

1. there are old systems out there seeing the end of there days

2. the games are being designed to squeeze every little inch out of the ps3, as a result it is being run alot harder by modern games

machiavell8x8

1. OLD SYSTEMS! Mine was only about 20 months old and it went terminal!

2. Are you serious!?

Mine is outa warranty and I tried getting it fixed for free buy going on about how many games I buy and will now sell and buy an 3**0 to no avail. But you know what? I'm over it. I have lost copious amounts of save games, photos, music etc. never to be seen again. Maybe down the track I'll get another PS3 but for now I'm steering clear.

Sorry to hear it man, it sucks when a system fails of its own volition basically due to hardware shortcomings that is no fault of the consumer and we have to pay for it. I remember the controller slot in my PS2 stopped working I called Sony and they wanted to charge me nearly the price of a system to fix one controller port. If mines fails on me I doubt I will pay the price of another system for something that is not my fault.Sepewrath

Yeah I'm now thinking that why should I reward SONY by getting straight back on the bandwagon and getting it fixed at my own cost ($350 Australian!) or buying another system. As I said I am saving my money for other things so I might just sell all my games and drop out for a few months.

Thanks to all :)

Well in the middle of modding my lambo in midnight club LA last night my PS3 turns itself of!? I don't panic but coolly turn it back on and the game loads then it shuts off again, oh no! Turn it back on green light only not green and blue eject disk yellow light then flashing red light after it turns itself off again. Shut it off at the main power and then tried again this morning, dead.

She was a launch 60GB and we shared many good times but alas she is now dead. I'm outa warranty and it will cost me $350! to have it "fixed". This ... the big one and is the first time I've ever had a product of this kind go out like this:( I hope the BRAVIA does not die as well.

So to those that have had similar, how long did it take to get fixed? I would normally just buy a brand new one but I'm saving my coin for other things.

Yeah I agree that it would be better for us PS3 users if it was exclusive as we will no doubt get the inferior version due to the difficulty of optimizing for two very different systems. Sometimes I wish that there was only one system so that we all got full dedication from devs, I mean I have thought about getting a 360 but there is just not enough exclusive's for me to justify it and im sure it works both ways.

But having said that it makes sense for CAPCOM to capitalize on their product by making it widely available.

WHOA! I looked at the other sites linked in this thread and there is a massive problem. I made the habit of not downloading firmware updates immediately after the last debacle and am glad I did. This is truly devastating for the people affected and I feel for them. How long before the competitors fan boys get some payback on all the RROD remarks?
