Dr Yassem - Ive been a gamer since my commodore 64 mate, almost 20 years!!. I cant understand your support for reverse technology i.e DVD media. Were going forwards, not backwards, why make a case for having MGS4 on multiple disks, thats a joke!!. It clear your a 360 fanboy, in the manner that you clling on to every last breath the 360 has got. How can GOW2 be better than MGS4 for gameplay, when all you do is shoot things, how can you compare that to MGS4 gameplay which involves clandestine sneaking to full on combat (were talking like being in a movie), using a multitiude of items and equipment to achieve your goal. And dont make me laugh about cutscenes, as theyre not cut scenes on MGS4, its the in game engine!!. You need to play MGS4, you may even ditch your 360 as its that good. Im really struggling to work out what can be improved on GOW2 when its on a DVD (i.e 8 GB at most), and dont compare DVD speeds on 360 compared to bluray speeds on Bluray, its like comparing Golf MK1 GTI to a Golf MK5 GTI !!! Shoinko we do have a life, but you 360 owners still think you can compete with the PS3, wake up and smell the coffee mate, its a no brainer that the PS3 is far superior in every way, and MGS4 is the start of things to come. Put it this way the PS3 can do everything the 360 can do, but the 360 cannot do the same. You may talk about more 360 games being 1080p, but in fact theyre not, just upscaled 720p using a in built chip. When a PS3 game states its 1080p, it really is full on 1080p.

Dr Yassam - Fair points there mate. Its important to note that the metal gear franchise has always and always will be a playstation brand. But you cant just say "it seems to be a superb game", COD4, Bio shock, UT3, Oblivion, GOW, GTA4 etc are superb games, but MGS4 really is a greater level above those games, it is close to perfection as can be. Have you ever seen a game where the cut scenes are seamless with gameplay as this game, no!! Dont insult the PS3 by saying Resistance pushed the PS3 to its its limits as thats a joke, no one has even heard of insomniac games for a start, how do theyre devs know what the ps3s limits are. DVD was never designed to store HD content, DVD HD was and thats dead. You cant honestly say DVD is a better medium than bluray, can you. Sounds like your dreaming there too much matey, thinking of methods to get MGS4 on the 360 lol, its never gonna happen, more chance of GOW coming to the PS3 though ; ), maybe on a blu ray special edition with both games on it, thats sounds far more viable lol.

thenephariuson - And your point. MGS4 eats every game alive and spits them out, inc games like GOW2. MGS4 should be the first game ever to be put forward for an Oscar!!. How much improved will GOW2 really be from GOW, no that much mate, as GOW pushed the xbox360 to its absolute limits as quoted by Epic. How much extra HD content will you get on a DVD, not much. Better to wait for GOW2 on the PC me thinks, which i have my 8800 GTS to play it how its supposed to be played.

Dr yassam - regular updates are released for the xbox360 for Oblivion (unlike the ps3s version), and they have yet to release a patch to match the ps3's versions graphical improvements, so release dates are irrelavent. Im a ps3 fan, not a fanboy, i l do like the 360 a lot for its games and xbox live, but the ps3 is a far better machine overall IMO. E.g. I been playing ps2 res evil 4 upscaled and its like another game!! Watch divx HD movies, play velocity bowling (eat you heart out Wii) with mates, surf the internet PC style, Install different OS... the list goes on.

As i said ealier MGS4 - enough said. I got my copy yesterday morning, all the reviews have given 10/10, the game is simply amazing and true next gen. 360 owners make me laugh, you are not gonna get a port, this game comes on DUEL LAYER BLURAY i.e. 50gb of data. This is where the ps3 moves away from the pack and shows its tru colours.

Its funny how know one talks about the elder scrolls oblivion. This game should be the bench mark for all graphical comparisons and the PS3's version ( a 360 port) is graphically superior in every aspect. Anyhow the reviews are coming out for MGS4 and most are 10/10, you can see the microsoft bosses turding themselves lol. Awaiting my copy from play. It doesnt take a genuis to work out that Gamespot is heavily biased towards the 360 (maybe some heavy investment from MS involved here!!). For a start GS have stated they prefer the 360 version of GTA4, when the ps3 version is clearly better looking, i cant understand. PS3 doesnt need any support anyway, its no brainer that it is clearly the more powerful console in every way.

At least we have the option to install these drives, unlike another particular console. When the better SSD's come down in price, theyll be worth the upgrade.

To Dr Yassam, the lead developer at epic games for Gears of War openly stated that GOW pushed the 360 to its absolute limits, which was why he was pleased to release the PC version which included levels just not feasible on the 360. I understand your point about xbox being technically superior to the PS2, but come on, the PS3 is technically more powerful than the 360, not equal to it. 360's GPU is better at shading but thats it, RSX has more raw horsepower. At the end of the day the PC still rules, and my 8800 gts eats these consoles for breakfast including my ps3.

These comparisons do not show the real technical differences between the two consoles. Remember the 360 has pretty much reached its peak, graphics and processor wise, with the PS3 still in its infancy with only about 50% of its potential being used so far. Look at Oblivion which is graphically the most intense game ever created, with the PS3 version by far the better version in every department - textures, shading, mapping, draw distance, colours etc. All these games shown were initially developed for the 360 and ported to the ps3 which will always be worse off. At least the ps3 can get 360 ports, as the 360 wont be able to handle ps3 ports due to the higher HD content on bluray.
