Let me tell you, i would have a lot more respect for celebrities and BLM in general if they got on social media saying something like.

"Look everyone, i know we're hurt but lets stay home, be responsible and protect ourselves while raising awareness for this issue as much as possible online."

I mean, that completely avoids the whole rioting/looting issue anyway. But then you have people like Yolanda Williams who straight up told white supporters to attend rallies and protests instead of black people because its too dangerous for them.

I have not been out protesting for a variety of reasons but the biggest and most important one is we've been told for three months now that ignoring social distancing guidelines is morally inethical and illegal. Pools and gyms are still not yet open. Right now i'm facing an issue dealing with the obligation to return to work despite childcare facilities and options not being completely available. The covid 19 articles have largely dropped from my newsfeed compared to before but i just saw one describing certain republican states becoming "hot spots" due to early reopening....

I mean if you're going to push an agenda and narrative, you at least shouldnt have it contradict itself.

I dont remember any of the experts suggesting cloth masks eliminates the need for social distancing. In fact, i thought it was only proven to be barely useful at all, in that it was just considered better than not wearing one and thus worth doing.

Also despite however more legitimate the issue is now, the virus doesnt care. This was the rhetoric that was shoved down our throats for the past 3 months.

Definitely not for a good while now. Huge gatherings of daily protests every night. Its amazing considering the message we've received over the past few months.

Stay home. Stay away from people. Limit physical contact unless absolutely necessary.

Every news article, social media post, discussion online was covid related and breaking those rules was met with harsh criticism. Now? Complete turnaround and disregard for all those guidelines. Oh but wait, of course they're all wearing masks making it totally safe...

To me its just a number but when you stop and consider a police officers job to respond to any crime, they have to live that statistic every day, but of course no one cares about that.

It doesnt skew numbers. The black population makes up 50% of violent crime committed despite being 15% of the population overall. So you know... that is why a fair comparison needs to include parameters such deaths per violent crimes.

Yup, pretty much what i've been trying to tell people here too. You can take any profession that exists, put them under the spotlight and ONLY report on negative things they do and it would be the same. Of course we are talking abiut a group of armed people with authority. Given people just dont naturally like being told what to do... well there ya go. Glad A F im not a cop.

Right, they just conveniently mix with a multitude of peaceful protests who effectively provide cover and can at any moment become rioters. Sounds like fun to deal with.

Hmm i looked at it and the only thing i noticed was black population die disproportionately if we ignore crime rates by race... but why should we do that?
