The fact that about fifty comments on the top page are hidden should tell you something, Gamespot. Is the repeat traffic from trolls and people arguing really worth having this kind of unnecessary ugliness on your site?

Another installment that serves no purpose but to fuel fanboy rage.

Wow. I left a comment a few days back that these sites know exactly what they are doing when they flame fanboys wars with moronic comparisons like this, and I would say my opinion has been thoroughly backed up by the comments since. As much as GS and sites like gametrailers whinge in a self serving way about fanboys, to the extent that they like to privately link to Sessler's soapbox where he says "F your mother" in response to accusations of bias, they all fan the flames. And the reason is simple, more arguing means more traffic. All the complaints decrying fanboy comments are insincere at best, they court these reactions. It couldn't be more obvious. Proud owner of both consoles and happy to disappoint the cynical exploitation of allegiance to either.

I used to think "don't they realize they accomplish nothing except stoke fanboy fires" whenever I saw these kind of pointless console comparisons here or on gametrailers etc. But now I know that's exactly why they do it. More flaming, more arguing = more web traffic and hits on pages that have ads on them by obsessive users. These sites all seem to decry the behavior surrounding the console wars in a self serving way while simultaneously exploiting it.

Can't speak for anyone except myself, but as far as I am concerned I have absolutely ZERO interest in this and I have a feeling it's going to flounder and ultimately fail. I sure as hell won't be using it.
