Good on AMD! about time they start stepping things up a notch! ..Sure it's not a i7, but if I was not running my Q6600 (which I am content with, and for some time more) and I was lloking at a new build, I would sure be researching more into these new CPUs from AMD. Way to go AMD! nothing like giving intel some heat, bring on the price wars!!
PC is king for 3 reasons, all equally as important, all 3 reasons consoles cannot rise to the challange: 1: PC has ultra high res. monitors inches from your face, full HighDef 'immersive' gaming, mouse and keyboard least we forget 2: PC always will have the latest in hardware, with games disigners exploiting and designing for this new power 3: PC will always have the best Multiplayer experience, and it's all about MP (free updates, free to play, best community, no lag) There you go, no GFX comparision needed as this is just logic that PC is better , I just summed it up why on top of GFX you should get into PC gaming over..need more? Console = Couch Potato Dreamer PC = The Matrix
Soulcalibur Comparison - Pretty damn close..However: Xbox360 seems to win based on: 1) Anitaliasing performancecheck the last Screen, large pots in background, and character to front right) 2) Also lighting as the PS3 bloom effect seems to blow out highlights (look at the first two screens, the centre background, notice the extra 'detail' in the rock and stairs around this area - on 360, as PS3 'washes' out) Close - I'd call 360 the winner again though.
Take the first couple comparisions for example (Fallout3) : 1) Anti-aliasing underside of the bridge (left screen) 2) The massive difference in the bump, and other texture mapping (check out the detail to ground and rocks foreground) 3) The Water Detail - transparancy, reflection 360 wins here hands down and all Fallout Screens - sorry PS3 fanboys
Amazing the mixed oppinions (some seem to have taken on others). What I can add is that I have used Vista now for 1 year, sure it took a little tuning to get it how I want it to run, but I have never encountered any real problems, nothing that couldnt be fixed in a second with a google search. I work in the electronic arts, as well as love my gaming, and it (Vista) is solid, performs great, and looks fantastic (you need the machine though, granted) Also, in a digital media age, no other Windows OS comes close to managing/previewing your assets.
