Jeff brought about many innovative changes to GameSpot and hopefully he will do the same wherever he goes. I hope he starts something independent and other GameSpot editors follow.

Its about time we get a new player in the game.

I shot an e-mail over to Sony Tech Support but I don't expect any satisfactory response. I imagine they'll ask questions like, "Is the Playstation 3 on?" or tell me tosendmy console in for repair.

Since the 1.93 update I've had strange audio issues. Some movies and now some games sound like the audio level is too high. It sounds really loud and the quality sounds "scratchy" and "poppy." You'll forgive my non-audiophile terminology.

I had some videos and movie previews that I had downloaded prior to the update that worked fine but now they sound terrible. I tried downloading those same videos again after deleting them but they still sound bad. One of which is the Folklore_StrangersTrailer-HD video. I have noticed though that all the videos using the 128 kbps AAC audio codec are the ones that sound bad.

Blu Planet plays fine. (That's the only Blu-Ray "movie" I own.)

Disc games play fine. Warhawk andHeavenly Sword have been tested.

But tonight I bought Everyday Shooter and it does the same thing.

Anyone heard of anybody else complain about this? I've tested other audio devices and even other televisions. I also tried different cables (just to narrow down the possibilities.)

Did 1.93 kill my audio?

Not noticeably prettier.  Wonder if it runs in 1080p and thats why it's so ugly.  Graphics chopped a little in the rooms.  That quad doesn't turn for squat.

I just got the beta and so far I haven't found out how to change my look aim to inverted. I don't see it in the menus nor does the game give me any settings when I press start during gameplay! Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance .Episode_Eve

There are tabs in the options.  Or you could change the default settings in your profile for all 3D shooters.

It's quick fun.  Not much different than Halo 2.  Different button placement and weird vehicle controls.  I get stuck EVERYWHERE.  Some maps are littered with junk and I get stuck on it.  Not cool.

Just as I was getting excited by the newly inspired interest in my writings due to the user soapbox feature it is removed and replaced by a private forum for the GameSpot editors.

*Sigh.  Hopefully it will return in some form.

For now, it's back to relative obscurity and lack of any response to my editorials.

Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

I've decreased the security settings for testing but it still happens.  Whenever I go into the inbox IE7 keeps asking me to close the tabs.

I also have Opera and it works fine there.  Any ideas?
