Looks interesting, I like the art style of the game. Fingers crossed it ends up being good.

Oh and INB4 the Femnazi's start screaming about the Boss fight in the first video, how huge and bouncy her Tig ol Bitties were. T_T

@gamevixxen @Zhaeshan ^ Face palm.

I am not sure what your issue is lady. What do you want? 'The last of us' has GREAT Female LEAD Characters, and Ellie seems to be a very strong and realistic female character even though she's a teenager, not to mention Tess and Marlene.

The latest tomb raider has a strong female. mass effect had a badass female Shepard. Metroid has a strong female character, April Ryan from the longest journey, Madison Paige from heavy rain. I can go on and on, but its bloody 12 in the morning and I'm falling asleep. Oh and there are great female Villains in games too.

The point is, The last of us is not a game we should be having this stupid argument over.

Perhaps women will be happy once every single game released has a 'Strong' Female lead. There's no pleasing women EVER, you can never win with them. (If you've ever been married to a woman you'd know).

God I'm over this subject. I'm off to bed, goodnight :D

@shingui5 I like to play my games as a male... what's wrong with that? I find it more realistic. I don't like playing as a woman simple as that.

That has nothing to do with female gamers or the industry. If women want to make games aimed at women, by all means do so. I'm just sick and tired of this ridiculous argument.

If you or any game dev wants to make a game to appease all these raging women/men who want female leads, by all means go ahead and make a game with a tough woman fighting off hoards of big muscular men and being a "strong" woman. If that's what you want, then that's what you want. But why am I or any other male gamer who prefers my games with men behaving like men be a bad thing and say that we are the problem or have bad attitudes?

I don't get it. If you want something go get it. don't make others feel bad because that's not what they want.

@stan_boyd lol yes its an awesome game, but to be fair, that game just exaggerates the features of each gender, like the knight having skinny legs and a huge upper body, the dwarf warrior just insanely muscular, and the female characers have their features exaggerated as well. Think of it like those roadside painters who exaggerate ur features in a quick sketch (cant think of the proper name for it). That game shouldn't be taken seriously.

Is it really that hard for people to realize that men and women largely are different? Men have their strengths and woman have theirs. A woman does not have to behave like a man or fill his shoes to be a "strong independent woman".

Should I really have to excuse myself to honestly admit that I, as a male gamer, would prefer to play a male character?
Is it a stretch to think that many male gamers share that mentality?
Is it somehow sexist to prefer my own gender if only given one choice as the main character? Of course it isn't sexist, it makes perfect sense, its entirely for immersion.
And given that the industry is male dominated makes even more sense that most main characters be male.
Developers still want to have a vision but they also need to design games towards their market. Perfectly logical.

Finally, Why does every female character have to be an indictment on all women?
This is another stark contrast between the way men and women are thinking about characters, life, politics.
It doesn't occur to male gamers to view each man in a game as a representation or indictment on males as a whole.
So why is every female character under scrutiny (primarily by other females)?
Why does every female character need to be politically tailored to represent that 'strong' woman?
This isn't just a gaming problem, this is a large social problem and its mainly other women, usually with a feminist bent, on a warpath against any female characters that don't fit a very progressive vision of what women should be. All women suddenly must conform.

@l777l @theKSMM You can never win against women, no matter what you do they will always find a reason to argue with you. Most married men know what I mean T_T
