Is it hdcp complaint? A quick internet seach is telling me that it isn't. That's probably your problem. There may be a work around floating around on the internet. Silverdragon17

I see. I was suspecting that, but wasn't sure since it worked for the 360.

thanks for the help!

What type of monitor are u using. Is it a dell? Is it set on dvi? Is your ps3 running video through hdmi?Silverdragon17

It's a viewsonic VX1935wm. The monitor is set to digital (that's dvi right?) When I turn on the ps3, the screen simply goes blank, so I can't set it hdmi through the system settings. I know that when it starts, it detects the hdmi connection. It asks me if I want to set it and I select "yes" (all without seeing what's on the screen).

I'm trying to connect my ps3 to my monitor. I have an HDMI-DVI adapter but when I set everything up, the screen went blank. I know it works because it works fine on my 360 elite, but the stupid system can't physiclaly fit AV cables (for audio) and HDMI at the same time.

I tried resetting the video setting on my ps3 by pressing the power button for 5 seconds, no dice.

any other suggestions? I think I'm missing something here.

school ID's are only good at school. get a state ID. LoG-Sacrament

well, I sometimes use it to sell/trade games. So I wondering if it also work for buying.

I am willing to get a state ID (it is more useful). I just want to avoid unncessary work for a video game.

Hey guys, I'm turning 17 really soon and I'm planning on purchasing GTAIV when I do. I was wondering if you guys know if Gamestop, Best Buy, ect... require a STATE ID to purchase M rated games? or will a SCHOOL ID suffice?

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't matter if Nintendo is 3rd. As long as profit comes, they will never leave. Of course, if things as the amount of consoles sold over each next gen keeps going down, it wont be good in the long run.Knight_of_Malta

if Wii looses the console wars again and goes out of bussiness...then Apple will take out their secret weapon: iBox.

iBox specs: box & tape

Sephiroth kills Sin...but only with that comet move while he is floating around and casting a bunch of shells and barriers. Unless he runs out of MP!
