@ccusick @Yuck_Too Starting early will not help when the PS3 is still in it's prime. It's only going to cost Sony money and if sales are slow it will look even worse.
@cbxero @Yuck_Too Sony can control their in-house developers...but that's about it.
They most certainly cannot tell 3rd party dev's what to do much less stop them. At best they can offer incentives but that costs them and the days of truly exclusive titles is gone.
The PS3 titles will look better for quite a while since the PS3 is hardly at it's full potential and developers will make higher profit margins sticking with that platfom...and I don't need another blu-ray player.
When they brought out the PS3 the PS2 was fairlyclose to it's limits and even then developers were slow to switch.
They have not maxed out the capabilities of the PS3 yet...so why would developers switch and take the hit in time and costs when they could make better looking PS3 titles with higher profit margins and larger install base?
Say what you like about aspects of the regions but the telling fact is how many copies of "Blue Dragon" well be sold on the DS platform when it ships. Also there are still more RPG's and even JRPG's on the 360 platform as well as every major developer in Japan is making games for the 360 and yet it still doesn't sell over there.
I simply prefer the lighting, shaders and bump maping better on the 360, makes it look more realistic. Mostly it's a wash though because unless you're sitting looking at specific pixels side by side you'd never notice.
--charl_sanderson -- so I finished the story on Legendary, got my nice gamerscore, and now it's getting swapped!!!!! LOL...you are funny. When you click on your gamercard it shows you never even played the game on anything other then normal (13 / 49 achievements). At least you played it...still why make things up.
Honestly since you need a high end PC with Vista and dx10 the 360 is far and away the better deal. It's just not worth the money PC's require to keep the advantage. Sitting on the couch with a 50" display and DTS is all the more reason. A top of the line PC 2-years ago doesn't stand up to high-end boxes now and 2-years from now a it will be the same difference yet again but we will still be playing on the 360 and it will still be comparable.
