Anyone know that fat guy from Saw 3? Errr, he's like, the most retarded guy ever, and he doesn't die at the end. ¬¬ Jeff Reinhart - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinhart_family#Jeff_Reinhart - This will be the dumbest character you'll ever see. Trust me.

[QUOTE="Yoshi_Zelda"]Obviously i didn't mean that kind of realism. From reading your previous posts i thought you'd be smart enough to understand, maybe i was wrong. I know too we won't go from standard controller to virtual reality, but how do you ever expect to get to that stage without any innovations[probably not the right word to use]?

I certain don't mean to force the Wiimote on to you, but the Wiimote could be one of those "stages" i mentioned. D-pad --> Rumble & Analog --> Motion sensing[?] --> ??? Who knows what might be next. I don't blame you, now-a-days nobody likes change. But sooner or later someone was bound to introduce something new, i don't see Microsoft or Sony changing gaming with their consoles or controllers, they're but graphical updates of their previous consoles, as well as their controllers. The Wiimote could be a gun, a tennis racket, baseball bat, swing club, steering wheel, a knife, a pen, even a light torch, the list can go on and on.

So tell me, do you see any other controller out there that give this much freedom? Or give people new ways to just enjoy games? If so, tell me, because i don't. I know the Wiimote can't imitate a gun or such, but it does a better job than any current standard controllers, and what's more, it tries. I don't want to get into the whole "developers don't use it well..." arguement, i know some might not use it efficiently, but there are some developers who use it amazingly well. [Retro - Metroid Prime 3, for example]

I have no problem with change. And don't insult my intelligence. My post was being condescending.

The Wiimote can be that stage, fine. If that's what it'll take to get to virtual reality. But I very much doubt that virtual reality, think the Matrix, and motion sensing have anything in common. Let alone will motion sensing influence the introduction of virtual reality.

The reason you don't see Microsoft or Sony changes their controllers is because the standard controller worked fine. The reason Nintendo did it was because they couldn't wage a hardware war. They had to find something to seperate them from the competition. Motion sensing was the apparent answering.

Yes, the Wiimote could be many instruments. But how would that make games any better? Why not just go play the real sport if what you're looking for is realism? Why does holding the controller like it was the genuine instrument appeal to you? I don't know. It's a matter of preference. But looking at current genres, the games have been fine without motion control. If you can give me an example of a great game, say, Counter-Strike and how it could incorporate the useage of the Wiimote to better the game, I'm all ears.

As I said, I don't mind if motion sensing is implemented. What I don't want is what other people want: The complete replacement of analog sticks, be it hardware or software in favor of motion sensing. If motion sensing will open up new genres, then go for it. But don't force the use on something that was fine as it was before.

Oh. I'm really sorry, i didn't mean to insult you. But i think i now comprehend a little bit better what you're trying to say. I don't think motion sensing will replace analog, but i suppose something will do some day. And i like The Matrix virual reality thing you mentioned, i really didn't see it that way before.

But i think the standard controller will stick around for a long time. I don't think companies will take the risk of complete changing their control scheme, since everyone has different preferences.

It seems as a gimmick now.

But then the next Xbox will have one hand motion controller.

Then the PS4 will have one hand motion controller.

Thompsonwhore

I'd just stop playing video games altogether if that happened.

People said similar things when the analog was introduced and also stated how rumble was useless. Interesting how things change. Microsoft and Sony have done little to nothing to innovate the market. The only thing they have done is upgrade what is already here.

There's a difference between the introduction of a new button or stick and making the primary mode of control being motion sensing.

Virtual reality, however, I would get into that.

I clearly understand what you mean. But the fact remains, it is the personal preference to use motion sensing for FPS games; which I personally find a repulsive thought.

Haha, you're quite the comedian. You would like Virtual reality games yet you find that the realism that the Wiimote tries to bring game genres such as FPSs is "repulsive". Wow. Don't be naive, do you honestly expect that gaming will suddenly evolve from standard controller to virtual reality? Come on now.

No I don't honestly believe we'll go from the standard controller to virtual reality. I never made that assertion. I said I would like virtual reailty.

And the Wiimote gives no sense of realism. Tell me how realistic it is to use the Wiimote a gun. Because just like a gun, the Wiimote recoils, you have to reload it, cock it, there's a safety, a retractable buttsock, a pistol grip, muzzle flash, smoke, shells ejecting.

No, you're right, the Wiimote is realistic. Holding a white piece of plastic is as close to reality as you can get.

Obviously i didn't mean that kind of realism. From reading your previous posts i thought you'd be smart enough to understand, maybe i was wrong. Y'know what i hate? When guys ask me my age, and i say i'm 17, and they ask if i'm still a virgin, and when i say 'yes', they're all like, retarded about it.
I'd rather lose my virginity with someone i love than just throw it away with some random drunken girl. This is what most men now a days want to do. To be quite honest, i think those kind of men are pigs, and they put the rest of us down. I really do not blame women for having such a bad view towards men when it comes to things like this.

And apparently now it's gay or whatever you want to call it when a guy would like to be involved in a meaningful relationship or just simply wait for the right person to come along. I really hate this, and i feel sorry for anyone who's got this mentality. I think guys who've lost their virginity with the wrong person simply tease other people 'cos they can't accept the fact that they should have waited longer or done it with someone they love.

Ahh, i'll stop my ranting now, but seriously, i have not had sex yet, but i hear it's much better when it's with someone you love and you care about, to me, that's worth waiting for. =]

I'd prefer British english if it were spoken like the Queen's. Yet, probably 1 in 10000 people in the UK speak like that.
That's why i prefer American English, since it's clearer, cleaner and just nicer to hear.

I live in Britain, and i hate how the british miss out on letters like 'T'. Example---"Wa-Arr"--Yeah, that's "Water".
Anyone seen Eastenders? Well, not only the worst soap ever, but the way they talk is truly disgusting, if you ask me.
And it gives the bristish a totally different image.

Ever heard of "Chavs"? Look it up in wikipedia and you'll see exacly what i'm talking about.

So for me, American english is far better than British english. Sounds nicer and cleaner. And i don't care if you say english came from England, but the fact that they can't even speak it properly is just beyond me.
