Finally, someone in the industry with a pair that said NO to multiplayer. I enjoy a good multiplayer game when it makes sense to have the feature. Bioshock 2 multiplayer was a hot mess. Not every game needs to have it to be successful. Some games are just fine without it. And if you are going to integrate it, I like the Demon Souls/Dark Souls model when done right. If I want a first person MP game, their are plenty of options from COD to Halo. Bioshock is one of those games that people buy for SP, not MP. So don't waste talent and space selling out your SP when it is the "core" of your offering.
The series will die following Crysis 3. Sadly, Crytek is just another lap dog for EA. No matter how many people on here and elsewhere complain, they are not listening. The best way to flip em the bird is to not pay for anything in a F2P format. Let it rot on the vine in the EA's garden of BS. People will buy good titles unlike EA wants you to think in order to sell their F2P format. Look at the headlines recently. Halo 4 sold $224 million in 24 hours. COD, love it or hate it, will sell over $500 million in their first 24 hours. The money is out there. EA would rather put out crap and sucker people into thinking F2P is the way to go.
It looks interesting enough to rent first and see if it is any good. Clearly, the games are not that scary anymore. I don't understand why every game feels the need to have co-op. I like co-op, but not every game has to have it. If I want real co-op, I'll play GoW or Borderlands 2. Somehow the formula seems to be team survival action now.
