I see a lot of flaming to the reviewer for this low score, I haven't personally agreed on many ratings given here to some of the best games I've played, however, I haven't played this one myself, not even on the PS2, but I have been reading a lot of reviews to convince myself to purchase it and it's not the only place where it's been given such a bad rating. It's not the review of the game itself only but the re-release and apparent HD treatment given to these new collections (which I love since I wasn't able to play them before) and if such port is not as good as the original, well, then we as customers deserve to know beforehand what we're going up against. I appreciate the truth, not just an "excellent review and rating" and facing a piece of crap later. Same goes for the bad reviews of Silent Hill HD Collection, I'm not getting near that until some patch has fixed it.

Thanks for the truth about THIS package, the games are a different thing, since I may like what the reviewer doesn't, but the ACTUAL state of THIS collection does not make me want to play it yet.

Where in the HELL is the original Silent Hill??? That one gave me (and my girlfriend, her sister and her boyfriend) a total night of non-sleeping experience. Man, that radio... the music when you walk into the school's courtyard, and the baby ghosts (they don't do anything, but scare you anyway). This one should be under "Atmospheric Tension"
