I think no one who has received a sequel to a fighting game is a stranger to a favorite, or a lot of favorite, characters not making the cut. I find that understandable. Limited size. Balance. Variety. Etc. The #it about x-men being unrecognizable is down right infuriating. Three movies in recent years. More over the course of a decade. A game brought about by fan demand. A series that essentially began with Street Fighters battling x-men and you think no one remembers them?

Calling characters functions is also bone headed. If they were just mesh rigs fighting we wouldn't have clamored for a new entry in comic characters vs video-game characters in the first place.

Its got its problems but the core gameplay is great. got over a two thousand hours in. I'm lucky that I get lots of mostly problem free matches. Not the case for everyone, which really sucks. Hope this beta helps capcom narrow down the issues so those people can get online so's we can fite them, see?! yar!

oh. if you are just starting out or attempting to get better, try Super Couch Fighters Road to Evo on youtube! Really fun and informative.

Been waiting for her!

That dlc . . . I get that some of it's for the tournaments and wouldn't mind paying a little more for that reason but that's still a bit steep. Plus. The stage is the only thing about it that even appeals to me out of the lot. And do you really need any more money related bad press right now Capcom?

I found it to be rather enjoyable even if it seemed to stay very much on the safe side. Some missed opportunities to explore some of the decisions some characters made. They could come back to them later though. One character seemed to go nearly completely to waste. Won't say much more as I don't want to spoil. I didn't expect too much from Street Fighter's first attempt at this and this was slightly above expectations.

@lostn: I thought Rare was well loved? I didn't play them but they made Perfect Dark and Golden Eye right? They also make Killer Instinct which, good or not, was at least pretty popular at the time. (the current game is great but not made by Rare) Did play Donkey Kong Country. It was good. I thought Microsoft just didn't give them any work. I think they made them make kinect games but I'd have to look it up and I can't right now.

Wow. I suppose I just imagined meetings at that level to be more eloquent! Why did Nintendo sell them Rare though?

Would be really interesting to see a post mortem on this game.
I'm very worried about Inafune and this habit of taking on so many projects ant once. The comparison to Molyneux may not be completely unwarranted.

An older idea mentioned in the circles I float around when people bring up Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat since Ki and MK would have a easier time meshing artistically. I think it could easily be very hype.

Because of the windows 10/xbox1 thing it could also be on PC too, right?

Most of these are just plain lousy in my opinion. And the few good ones are for characters I don't play. Ha! Optional content you technically don't have to pay for is fine(except premium costumes) and I would imagine they plan to have a lot more since the sooner you run out of in game currency, the sooner you can start using real money.

I don't care too much about stages but I suppose I would pony up when they get the other stage transitions in.

@RaveNRolla: Area 3v3 games are hard for me to find enjoyment in so it's rough for me to see the appeal of this even though I want too.

I think for me the thing with Raccoon City is just that I really liked the chaos of switching between fighting zombies, and soldiers. It was like Left 4 Dead plus over the shoulder shooter, plus co-op and then you had to manage the fact that your teammates could become infected. I feel I can see just about ALL the things that people didn't like about it but I still found it fun. Some problems I just didn't encounter too. Especially after the games one and only patch before the developer went under.

I still pop it in from time to time. I got it for PC recently on the vague hope that someone would have addressed at least a few of the issues and made interesting mods but their isn't too much that has been done with it.
