Cut the R&D budget in half, but keep manufacturing stable and personnel employment, bases etc. Have those who research rockets and WMD's turn their attention to the civilian sector into researching cleaner fuels, and renewable energy sources. USA doesn't need to spend millions to research weapons tech that is of no use to the current global threats.

Olbermann donates a few thousand dollars of his own money to a couple of Democratic candidates and is suspended indefinitely by MSNBC. Fox isn't a news organisation, that's why. It's the P.R and propaganda machine for the republicans. And if Keith was trying to start the ball rolling the same way with MSNBC being the liberal equivilant, then no, just no. We need information without bias.
