Nightharvest: "Good concept. It will make me finally play Beyond Good and Evil, even with the little bit of 'spoiling'. But you have to do that to create some interest." Yeah, totally! How many of us were going to pick up these games anyway? It's not like we weren't warned. I'm SO buying BG&E next week.

"Please remember that we're covering games in their entirety, so consider this your only spoiler warning." Could they have made it any clearer? Maybe they should have used flashing red letters or something.

This is easily the most awesome of the new features. Jeff Gerstmann delivers yet again.

The cost of the PS3 at $500 is extremely harmful but not necessarily deadly; what IS deadly is the apparent scarcity of rocking-your-world-caliber games. When the XBox was released, it obviously had much better abilities than anything that preceded it. Same as the 360. But it's not so easy to see the difference between the PS3 and those things that precede it (that is, the 360). Time will tell, but I feel like Sony had better put together a totally stunning launch lineup, along with smart promotion (no race-baiting this time, K?) if it wants to convince people they need to spend $500 on the thing. Oh yeah, the TG16 was a horrible console. Why would anyone in his right mind want to go back to that trash? Bonk's Adventure? I'd rather play SMB 3 on NES than more or less any game they ever released on TG16. What an incredibly frustrating chapter from my youth... that crap-ass piece of junk burned me bad, when I was a kid. Yes, I'm still bitter.

I agree with Dr. Mori's general concept, that too much but not enough fidelity when approximating a human form can cause an unsettling feeling, but I also think it's highly subjective; I suppose his graph agrees with that as well. All told it's hard to disagree with much of the article; the Heavy Rain model IS breathtakingly lifelike as real-time renders go, and she can also weird you out. But I wonder how much of that is because of gaps in technical prowess, and how much it's due to the context of the video and her actions therein. Still, it certainly shows both promise and room for improvement.
