technology is not set in stone - you throw enough money at it, give it some time to mature and it levels out with the rest of what's on the field.
The only thing that can mess that up is shitty management. However, at the moment, of either of the two, it's rather MS that looks like the one with wonky management decisions.

Hm, I didn't think anyone would be making a sequel to Duke Nukem Forever; looks like Volition have taken up the mantle.

Also, can you say - most uninspired, generic alien character models ever?

Is this what video games would become if they banned violence?
