This also means, no one could play the game (unless private servers), and no one would be working on getting it running ever again.

I would chorus in joy with all intelligent PC gamers, in a song of: The Enlightend Age of Gaming.

Spindry69

I love it, but I would cry with tears of joy.

We're...we're free. WE'RE FREE from Blizzard's evil crutches!

They have been pimping the game up though as of late...making it faster to level and whatnot.

And to all you idiots flaming on Warcraft, there's no denying that it completely revolutionized online gaming (let alone MMORPGs) as we know it. The only reason anyone actually hates World of Warcraft is because they've played it for a long while, got bored of it and tried to find an excuse to blame Warcraft on when in fact it really is a good game (look at the reviews, idiots).

Wow revolutionized nothing. What it did was make a very polished, accessible and yes wildly succesfull online game but nothing revolutionary. It's funny whenever people have a jovial dig at Wow, all the fanbois come out of the woodwork to defend them.

"Wow revolutionized nothing." QFT. I can hardly add anything to what you said Spindry69. WoW stole its entire concept from Warhammer. They've then run around stealing every idea that any Mod or other mmo used that was popular (player housing on the horizon?). It's smart business but it's far less than revolutionary. I wasted plenty of time with WoW (in a competent raid guild)before I saw the big picture. WoW just transitioned from pandering to the 13 year olds in large raid guilds that could play 30+ hours a week to pandering to the 13 year olds in pvp arena teams. It's a game for hardcore people only now, not casual gamers. So my animosity for WoW runs from the same veins as it does for SWG. The myopic evolution ofboth games has disenfranchised the original fanbase. Disagree? Go level half a dozen characters to 70 and spend the next year in PUG's then we'll talk, in the mean time I have my life back.

Honestly I can't fault you one bit for not wanting to get involved. Especially in the DFW area, our graveyards are full of good samaritans who got killed on the freeways, some even in hit-and-runs by Dallas Cowboys (Dwayne Goodrich). If you're not a 1st responder, then be a good samaritan by getting on the phone and calling 911. Let Fire/Rescue/Police handle it and go home safe to your own family imo, although this was an extreme circumstance. Current info, pending toxicology results,on the shooter was that he'd been smoking weed dipped in PCP before this happened. I work with Jerry Poston, the Dallas Officer who was shot twice in the ordeal. He's doing pretty good. He lost his left eye and will never work the streets again, but he's going home to his wife and2 kids on 08/17/07.
