@Unfallen_Satan @UncleTrick - I think that businesses present it uniformly because it's cost-effective and less confusing for the consumer, not to purposefully deceive anyone. Again, their hands are tied and if you have nothing to compare it to (versions in other counties) what difference does it make? The version you get it the version that's available to you in your area of the world. What difference does it make what people in other countries get? If you hadn't read on the internet that the gore was removed, you'd never have known the difference and would still have enjoyed the game.
@Unfallen_Satan @UncleTrick - In principle of what? The unfair censorship of the game by your regulators or that the game creator has two different versions of the game? I'm not sure why you would deny yourself the game for the latter, when their hands are tied by local regulation.
I don't understand why people are upset with Naughty Dog. They need to abide by the laws of the different countries they do business with, if they don't, you don't get the game at all. What are they supposed to do? Put a sticker on the game saying "Your government won't let you see violence so we had to change the game".
